The Hedgehog Burrow
Raising a child comes with many joys—and many expenses. At As You Are, our Hedgehog Burrow (formerly the Baby Boutique) helps ensure that parents and caregivers have access to essential items as they care for their children. The Hedgehog Burrow is our resource space where families can obtain essential maternity, baby, and children’s items.
Through generous donations from our community, we provide new and gently used maternity, baby, and children’s items to help supplement your family’s resources.
What You May Find in the Hedgehog Burrow
Available items vary based on donations, but often include:
• Maternity clothing
• Infant to 4T clothing
• Children’s shoes
• Bottles and feeding supplies
• Baby carriers
• Pack-n-plays
• Strollers
• High chairs
• Diapers, wipes, formula and other baby essentials
The Hedgehog Burrow is available to all clients and community partners at no cost.
How the Points Program Works
Clients earn Points (formerly Baby Bucks) by participating in parenting classes and other learning activities at As You Are or within the Hedgehog Burrow.
This program allows families to receive practical support while also gaining valuable parenting knowledge and skills.
Diaper Support
Every client enrolled in services receives one pack of diapers each month during their first year of service, without needing to spend points.
Clients may use their points to purchase additional diapers when supplies are available.
